Royal Engineers Veteran
First entered military service with the Royal Scots Greys in August 1924. He served twelve years with the famous cavalry regiment before leaving the Army in August 1936.
Albert Daley re-enlisted in the Royal Engineers at Newport on 9 February 1940, serving as a concreter with the BEF in France. He likely took part in the Dunkirk evacuation before returning to Britain, where he served until 1945. He later joined the occupation forces in North West Europe before demobilisation.
