YouTube: Uploading and Setting a Video as Unlisted
- Sign in to YouTube:
- Go to YouTube and log into your account.
- Upload Your Video:
- In the top right corner, click on the camera icon with a “+” symbol and select “Upload video.”
- Select Video File:
- Choose the video file from your device that you’d like to upload.
- Set Video Details:
- Fill in the video title, description, and other optional details as prompted.
- Set Video Privacy to Unlisted:
- After adding video details, scroll down to the “Visibility” section.
- Select “Unlisted.” This makes your video accessible only to people who have the direct link.
- Complete the Upload:
- Click “Save” after reviewing all settings. Your video will now be uploaded as unlisted, and you’ll receive a link that you can share.
- Share the Link:
- Copy the link provided and paste it directly into the memorial page, or send it to specific individuals you want to share the video with.
Vimeo: Uploading and Setting a Video as Unlisted
- Sign in to Vimeo:
- Visit Vimeo and log into your account. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to sign up for a free or paid plan.
- Upload Your Video:
- In the top right corner, click on the “New video” button, then select “Upload” from the dropdown menu.
- Choose Your Video File:
- Select the video file from your device that you wish to upload.
- Set Video Privacy Settings:
- Once your video starts uploading, go to the “Privacy” section.
- Under “Who can watch?” choose “Only people with the link.”
- Complete the Upload:
- After the video uploads, add details such as a title, description, and any other metadata you want.
- Click “Save” or “Publish” to finish the process.
- Share the Link:
- Vimeo will generate a direct link to your video. Copy this link and paste it into the memorial page or share it with others.
